Hi! I'm Alaya 🐰🦎

The owner and animal lover behind Coastal Critters!

I've always had a huge love for animals, especially reptiles and all the unique little critters that people don't get to interact with every day. That love inspired me to create Coastal Critters, a mobile animal encounter business where I get to share my animals while giving kids and families a fun, hands-on experience they'll remember. 🌴✨

From snakes and geckos to bunnies, guinea pigs, and more, every animal has their own personality, and one of my favorite parts is helping people learn about them, interact with them, and maybe even discover a new favorite animal! 🐍🐇

Coastal Critters is something I'm building with lots of love, learning, and care, and I'm so excited to share this journey with you! 💕🌺

    Send us your date, location and headcount through the form, a text, or a DM.

    Pick your package

    We'll confirm availability, quote any travel fee and lock in your time slot.

    We roll up

    We arrive with the critters, set up a clean encounter station and handle everything.

    Make memories

    Petting, holding, crafts, certificates and about a thousand photos. Then we pack out.

Frequently asked questions

What animals do you bring?

A mix of fuzzy and scaly friends — rabbits, guinea pigs and chinchillas alongside ball pythons, leopard geckos, bearded dragons, blue-tongued skinks, crested geckos and frogs. The exact line-up varies by date, weather and each animal's schedule, so we confirm it with you when you book. Have a favorite? Ask and we'll do our best.

What is the Adopt-A-Critter craft?

It's a full hour of hands-on craft time included in the Party Package. Every kid makes their own critter keepsake to take home — a nice calm activity after all the excitement of meeting the animals.

What is the Birthday VIP experience?

It's a special extra for the birthday kid: 15 minutes hanging out one-on-one with their favorite animal from the visit. Perfect for photos, and it always ends up being the highlight.

How long is a party?

The Party Package runs two hours: one hour of animal encounters plus one hour of the Adopt-A-Critter craft. The Private Animal Encounter is a 1.5 hour session. The Future Pet Experience and Additional Services are billed hourly.

How many kids can attend?

The Party Package covers 1–15 kids at $500, or 16–25 kids at $600. The Private Animal Encounter is $35 per child, capped at 6 children — and parents attend free.

Do you charge a travel fee?

Travel is quoted based on where you are. We serve Los Angeles and surrounding areas — send us your address and we'll give you an exact number up front.

Indoors or outdoors?

Both work. We just need a shaded, reasonably calm spot with room for the encounter station and space for the kids to sit. Tell us what your venue looks like and we'll advise on the best setup.

Is it safe for little kids?

Yes. A handler stays with the animals the entire time, we introduce them one at a time, and every interaction is guided. Animal welfare and kid safety are the two things we never compromise on.
